Although the print advertising standards (pages<br />

02 to 05) apply throughout the world, there are<br />

additional rules to follow outside the U.S.A.:<br />

•A created or acquired business licensed to use<br />

a primary <strong>GE</strong> trademark by itself should use it,<br />

normally in a graphic signature, for the sign-off<br />

in an advertisement.<br />

•A joint venture licensed to use the Monogram<br />

together with the mark(s) of the other joint<br />

venture partner(s) (joint marks) should use these<br />

marks, normally in a graphic signature, for the<br />

sign-off.<br />

• The primary <strong>GE</strong> trademarks should be qualified<br />

with a standard trademark protection notice,<br />

preferably Form 2, as shown in document<br />

121, Primary Trademarks & Service Marks, page 06.<br />

When the Company name or business name is<br />

already featured, use Form 1, also shown in<br />

document 121 on page 06.
