If the sponsor is the sponsor for more than one
noncitizen, how is the income and/or deemed
resources calculated?
The deemed resources are calculated by dividing
these resources by the total number of sponsored
noncitizens receiving CalWORKs, including the
number of sponsored noncitizens in the applicant’s
assistance unit.
NOTE: The number of sponsored noncitizens
receiving CalWORKs and/or in the
AU is to be reported on the QR 22,
Sponsor’s Statement of Facts Income
and Resources.
How is income determined if the sponsored
noncitizen is not included in the AU?
When the sponsored noncitizen is not included in
the AU, the portion of his/her income deemed from
the sponsor is not to be used in determining his/
her contribution to the AU, unless the income is
actually available to the AU.
How is the income treated if the sponsored
noncitizen is a member of the AU?
When the sponsored noncitizen is a member of the
AU, the deemed income from the sponsor is to be
treated as unearned income.
How is income treated if the sponsor is either
an excluded parent or stepparent?
If the sponsor is an excluded parent or stepparent,
his/her income is determined using the excluded
parent or stepparent deeming computation.

Income and needs of adults living in the home who
