Supportive Services EW
Upon receiving a FR case from the casecarrying
EW, the Supportive Services EW must:
1. If this is a 2 parent household, verify with the
FR GSW to determine which parent has the
FR plan in place with DCFS;
2. Review the LEADER case information and
complete case identifying information in the
1 st five (5) columns on the FR log;
3. Set a LEADER follow-up “Reminder” for
completing information on the Reminder
Request screen in the Future Action
Controls subsystem on LEADER and
transferring the “Display Due Date” (set for
the 1 st workday of the 6 th month following
the child(ren)’s placement) and transfer this
information to the FR Log; and
4. When the follow-up “Reminder” is received
on LEADER, contact the FR GSW for an
update on the status of FR services.
5. Take the following action depending on the
status of the FR services:
Family to be Reunited –
• Complete a redetermination to either
reopen CalWORKs case if the
participant remains eligible or to
discontinue if the participant is not
eligible to CalWORKs; and
• Update Case Comments and the FR
Log; and
• If all case segments are inactive,
transfer the case to Suspense per
existing procedures; and
• If the Food Stamp segment is active,
transfer the case to the appropriate
District/File per existing procedures;
or
FR Plan is Terminated - Children to
Remain in Foster Care –
