Can a pregnant applicant with no eligible children
receive the PSN payment if she is not in her third
trimester?
No, an applicant woman with no other eligible
children is not eligible to receive cash aid until she is
in her third trimester (based on pregnancy
verification). If she is in her third trimester, eligibility
begins the date of application through the end of the
quarter in which the child is expected to be born once
required verification is provided. If the birth of the
child is voluntarily reported mid-quarter, the
pregnancy special need payment is discontinued at
the end of the month prior to the month the newborn
is added into the AU.

Can an “applicant” woman with other eligible
children receive the PSN if she is not in her third
trimester?
Yes, an applicant with other eligible children may
receive the PSN from the date of application through
the end of the quarter in which the child is expected
to be born once required verification has been
provided. If the birth of the child is voluntarily
reported mid-quarter, the PSN is discontinued at the
end of the month prior to the month the newborn is
added into the AU.
NOTE: For an MFG child, the PSN is discontinued
at the end of the quarter and the MFG child
is to be added to the AU the first of the next
quarter.
