TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS AND RISK MANAGEMENT 104INTEGRATED RISK ASSESSMENTS OF TRANSPORT OF EXPLOSIVESRisk assessment should enable consideration of all factors affecting the safe transportation of explosive materialsalong The Coridor 10 to define an effective system of prevention and preparedness, as well as a comprehensiveplatform to make the process of recovery and business continuity 7) . Complete and complex understanding of allfactors (Figure 2) that affect the safe transportation of explosive materials can provide integrated analysis of allpotential hazards and their combinations.Source: U. Hinterscheid, Thesis, 2008, WuppertalFigure 2. Chart of impact of potential hazardsRisk assessment, prevention and preparedness are elements of the emerency management before the eventhappens 1) . The estimated risk should be comparable to criteria for acceptable risk and treated by risk measures, butthis does not eliminate all potential risks. Unacceptable risks should be treated by the certain measures. All riskscannot be prevented. The risks that are not initially treated or reduced by prevention are covered by thepreparedness measure. Therefore, the preparedness measures are applied to the so-called residual (remaining)risks 2) .THE PROTECTED VALUES AND APPLICABILITY OF INTEGRATED RISK ASSESSMENTIntegrated risk assessment should enable simply and completely understanding of impact factors both on theprotected values (Table 1) 4) of organization which transports explosives and environmental values as well.
