3 The merchandise in that shop is not only expensive, but also of low<br />
quality.<br />
4 This city is not only - large, - but also beautiful.<br />
5 We are not only happy you came, but also grateful.<br />
Rather than ... in fact<br />
Another expression related to the ones above is bukannya ... malahan<br />
... (rather than . .. in fact ...I. The table below shows how we can<br />
structure our sentence when using this expression.<br />
Bukannya diam tangisnya malahan menjadi-jadi.<br />
Rather than stopping (being quiet) hidher cry in fan became worse.<br />
Bukannya membantu dia mafahan berdiri saja<br />
