I. Problem
Information and communication technologies are fundamentally
changing work life and our day-to-day lives at the
beginning of the 21st Century. Lifelong Learning is becoming
a prerequisite for occupations and the personal transformation
of this and the next generations. At the same time,
many people when starting working life neglect extending
and maintaining the physical competence. Sport and new
media seem to be mutually exclusive.
Our services:
• 25 lessons multimedia
• 15 lessons sport
• comprehensive teaching material
• small learning groups (max. 10 participants)
• team sport equipment (sport pants, jerseys, balls,
protective gear, sport caps)
• experienced computer lecturers and sport trainers
II. Solution approach
The goal of our Football@college project is the support of
media and movement competence as well as promoting
health for trainees through the participation in Football@college
seminars. We directly approach handicraft
companies and SMEs.
Through the modern combination of components of “multimedia”
and “multisport”, it is ensured that the trainees don’t
lose physical capabilities in place of attaining mental capabilities,
and vice versa.
In the project module “multimedia”, we sensitize the participants,
based on target groups, to using electronic media as
the basis for an independent Lifelong Learning and lead
them in the various methods and programmes by means of
practical applications. Thus they acquire media competence
which is so important in today’s world.
The project module “sport” introduces young people, in a
direct and practical way, to the attractive sport and active
possibilities in order to support their movement competence
as well as health promotion for their future professional
life.
The multimedia trainings take place in a well-equipped,
mobile training bus.
Along with the technical equipment (e.g. hardware, software,
network) classical printed information material as
well as interactive multimedia software are available for the
participants as teaching and learning materials.
III. Outlook
We would like to establish our Football@college seminars
institutionally in the regional training programme.
