Communication and Co-operation in Lifelong Learning
I. Problem area
III. Perspectives
The project aimed at three central aspects:
• “Improving COMMUNICATION” on a regional and
transnational level
• “Developing trans-national CO-OPERATION” and
• “Introducing REFLEXIVE LEARNING”.
The intention was both to lead regional providers to a more
targeted communication process and to initiate and intensify
trans-national exchange. Reflection within the learning
process created possibilities to act in a communicative and
co-operative way.
Several project initiatives were developed: in the field of
adult education (Grundtvig), e-Learning (e-Learning initiative),
the course offer in the Grundtvig-Comenius catalogue
(EU database) as well as the marketing activities in the scope
of the annual European Week.
The project was very fruitful both for the co-operation
among the respective regions and for trans-national teamwork.
All partners are interested in continuing the network.
At the end of the project work, the last common measure
will be the publication of a resolution on the significance
and exigence of Lifelong Learning.
II. Solutions
Partners
The project fell back to a module which had been developed
by Prof. Dr. W. Wittenbruch of the educational science
department at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in
Muenster. It had been used for more than 10 years in schoolinternal
further trainings for teachers themed “Mobile
Learning Workshop”.
Various providers presented individual offers which
they considered to be exemplary for their region. Instruments
from the Mobile Learning Workshop were used to
analyze, assess and verify them for their co-operation potential.Thanks
to this process transfer, innovative options
emerged to further develop the individual regions regarding
their offers.
This process turned out to be a sensible instrument as it
was adequately applicable by each individual institution
(keyword “course transfer”).
