CONSULTATION WITH OTHER COUNCIL DEPARTMENTS<br />

SUMMARY<br />
The <strong>Council</strong>lors' Expenses and Facilities Policy has been amended following release <strong>of</strong> new<br />
guidelines by the Department <strong>of</strong> Local Government. The amended draft was placed on public<br />
exhibition and no submissions were received. The amended Policy is recommended for adoption.<br />
The limits specified for Clause 2.9 (Care and Other Related Expenses) is to be adjusted for the<br />
period March to August <strong>2007</strong>.<br />
RECOMMENDATION<br />
A. That the Policy on the Payment <strong>of</strong> Expenses and Provision <strong>of</strong> Facilities to <strong>Council</strong>lors<br />
dated <strong>February</strong> <strong>2007</strong> be adopted.<br />
B. That for the period March to August <strong>2007</strong> the maximum amount <strong>of</strong> reimbursement for<br />
the provisions under Clause 2.9 (Care and Other Related Expenses) be $1,000 each,<br />
being 50% <strong>of</strong> the annual limits.<br />
