After steady increases, Ku-ring-gai’s average domestic waste charge decreased $26 in 2001/2002 and
has moved an average of only 1% over the last 3 years. 2004/2005 has however seen a 10% increase
from 2003/2004.

Council has in 2004/2005 recorded the lowest average cost of $57 per Domestic Waste collection since
the last low of $83 recorded in 1995/1996. The highest cost occurred in 2000/2001. This has since
been reduced 65% which is an excellent result for Council.
