Ku-ring-gai falls into Group 3, which is:<br />

Urban – Metropolitan Developed – Population 70,000 - 120,000.<br />

Analysis <strong>of</strong> the comparative data has been undertaken for the following:<br />

Group 3 <strong>Council</strong>s<br />

Group 3 consists <strong>of</strong> 13 other <strong>Council</strong>s which are: Bankstown, Blacktown, Canterbury, Fairfield,<br />

Holroyd, Hurstville, Marrickville, Parramatta, Randwick, Rockdale, Ryde, Sutherland and<br />

Warringah.<br />

Neighbouring <strong>Council</strong>s<br />

Due to the vast spread and differences among <strong>Council</strong>s in Group 3, another analysis has been<br />

undertaken comparing Ku-ring-gai to our neighbouring <strong>Council</strong>s. These <strong>Council</strong>s are:<br />

Hornsby, Pittwater, Ryde, Warringah, Willoughby, Lane Cove and North Sydney.<br />

History <strong>of</strong> Ku-ring-gai<br />

Finally, an analysis <strong>of</strong> the history <strong>of</strong> Ku-ring-gai’s results between 1994/1995 and 2004/2005 has<br />

been included, to assess trends in the performance <strong>of</strong> <strong>Council</strong> over time.<br />
