Table 1 indicates a combined average of 42% of students in EOPS admitted dueto educational under-preparedness (average of all categories except ―Other EligibilityCharacteristics‖).All EOPS/CARE students in good standing with the program are eligible for services untilthey have completed six consecutive semesters, or a maximum of 70 degree applicableunits, or have received an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree.<strong>Program</strong> SLOs/SAOsService Area OutcomesOne of the mechanisms for insuring attainment of educational and career goals is theestablishment of a comprehensive educational plan. The EOPS ImplementingGuidelines for Title 5 stress the importance of a sequenced, multi-term, visual timeline ofrequired coursework for students to follow while enrolled. This timeline, or educationalplan, should be completed with the assistance of certificated counselors. Theeducational plan must be signed by the student and EOPS counselor, or director, andmaintained in the student’s EOPS file.- 235 -
