To disable PVC 32 on port 1:CRAFT> set frcircuit [1.2.1.32] state=inactiveTo delete PVC 32:CRAFT> set frcircuit [1.2.1.32] state=invalid1 2 7 (Before a PVC can be deleted, its link must be disabled throughcmFrDlcmi. An active circuit on an enabled link cannot be deleted.&RQILJXUHWKH)UDPH5HOD\'&(WR&RQQHFWZLWKWKH&(The CE150 behaves as a Frame Relay UNI DTE (User NetworkInterface, Data Terminal Equipment). Therefore, the CE150must connect to a Frame Relay UNI DCE (Data CommunicationsEquipment) interface, such as a Frame Relay switch. TheDCE provides clocking for the CE150 WAN interface.7KURXJKSXW0DQDJHPHQWFor any Frame Relay link (PVC), only a finite amount of datacan be accommodated between any two points in time. If thenetwork becomes congested, connected devices at one or bothends of a PVC are automatically notified by the network that thevolume of transmitted data will be temporarily retarded untilthe congestion is alleviated. To ensure a continuous and orderlyflow of data, even during these periods of congestion, Frame Relayrelies on the concept of a Committed Information Rate (CIR).The CE150 supports three configurable command objects relatedto Committed Information Rate, all through the frCircuitgroup used to configure Frame Relay virtual circuits (PVCs) establishedat WAN interfaces. They are:• Throughput• CommittedBurst• ExcessBurstThroughputThroughput (a term synonymous with CIR) specifies the averageamount of data, in bits-per-second, that can be sent over agiven PVC (assuming a reasonably well designed network) ondemand, 24 hours a day. Since PVCs may be shared by a numberof users, the Committed Information Rate for a CE150 PVCwill typically approximate some reasonable sum of the datarates of all of the subscribers who have access to the interface.&KDSWHU5RXWLQJ)RUZDUGLQJ0DQDJLQJ/LQNV
