4. The above example configures an ATM VC for the IPnetmodel.1 2 7 (If the DS3 ATM physical port is disabled, the port does not go idle, buttransmits AIS signals. For more information about the ATM-related objects in theseexamples and their configuration options, see the MIB Definitionsin the CopperEdge 150 CopperCraft Reference and MIBDefinitions manual.&RQILJXULQJ$709&VIRU4XDOLW\RI6HUYLFHThe CE150 supports ATM quality of service (QoS) for all cellstransmitted upstream over an ATM WAN VC. Different flavorsof voice, full-range video, and video conferencing can be accommodated. The CE150 allows you to configure QoS using eitherthe CopperView EM or the CopperCraft CLI. You must use threedifferent MIB groups or tables:• cmCircuitParam• cmATMVcl• cmParamSummaryYou can create as many as 255 different subclasses of serviceusing the cmCircuitParam group. You select either real timeVariable Bit Rate (rtVBR) or non-real time Variable Bit Rate(nrtVBR), and then configure the subclasses with different sizesfor Peak Cell Rate (PCR), Sustained Cell Rate (SCR), and MaximumBurst Size (MBS). You also can configure Unspecified BitRate (UBR).Afterward, you can apply the different subclasses (or the differentvalues for PCR, SCR, and MBS) to the different WAN VCs byusing the cmATMVcl group.Meanwhile, you can manage the WAN VCs and different subclassesof service by monitoring the total bandwidth assignedto ports using the cmParamSummary group. You can also adjustupward or downward subscription factors on the ports, allowingas much as 2500 percent oversubscription. For more information about the MIB groups for applying QoSover ATM, see the MIB Definitions in the CopperEdge 150 CopperCraftReference and MIB Definitions manual.&KDSWHU5RXWLQJ)RUZDUGLQJ0DQDJLQJ/LQNV
