(See the CopperEdge 150 CopperCraft Referenceand MIB Definitions manual.)Five types of loopbacks are possible for DS1 boards: inwardloops, near-end payload loops, near-end line loops, far-end lineloops, and far-end payload loops. For the inward loop test, thefar-end line loop test, and the far -end payload loop test, theCopperEdge must generate test packets, using a generator onits System Control Module. As such, all of themare reported to the trap receiver.The current CE150 product release does not support multiplesimultaneous loopback tests. Only one test can be run at anyone time. Moreover, the CE150 loopback test software makesno assumptions and has no prior intelligence about the loopunder test.
