On the upstream,each of the ports supports multiples of 32 Kbps from32 Kbps to 512 Kbps.For G.dmt, on the downstream, each of the 24 ports supportsmultiples of 32 Kbps all the way from 32 Kbps to 6.144 Mbps.On the upstream, each of the ports supports multiples of 32Kbps from 32 Kbps to 640 Kbps.Configuration of the ports can be done either by the Copper-View EM or by the CopperCraft command line interface. However, the LAN extensionnetmodels (IP, VWAN, CopperVPN, and HDIA-data) requirethe CPEs on the DSL links to be in bridge mode, not routermode. None of the CPEs is CMCP compatible; they must havethe CMCPCompatible object in the cmIface group set to No.(QFDSVXODWLRQV6XSSRUWLQJ*GPWDQG*OLWHBoth the G.dmt and G.lite modules support RFC-1483 for DSLport encapsulation. They also support RFC-2364 for DSL portencapsulation, but the CE150 allows only RFC-2364 encapsulationwith VC-VC forwarding on the DS3 ATM WAN port.When using RFC-2364 for DSL line encapsulation, the CE150will not allow RFC-1973 encapsulation with PPP Translationforwarding on the DS3 ATM WAN port. It also will not allowRFC-2364 encapsulation with PPP-Transparent forwarding orwith PPP-Translation forwarding on the DS3 ATM WAN port.&RSSHU(GJH,QVWDOODWLRQDQG2SHUDWLQJ*XLGH
In addition, when using FRF.8, the CE150 will not allow atranslation from RFC-1483 for DSL port encapsulation to anRFC-1490 encapsulation on the DS3 Frame Relay port.9&V6XSSRUWLQJ*GPWDQG*OLWHBoth the G.dmt and G.lite modules support multiple VCs ontheir DSL ports. The CE150 will allow you to map the VCs onthe DSL ports to multiple VCs on its WAN VCs. The WAN VCscan be on DS3 ATM boards, DS3 Frame Relay boards, or DS1boards. The number of VCs available are:• On G.dmt and G.lite ports, the CE150 will support asmany as eight VCs. In addition, the VPIs and VCIs oneach VC on the ADSL ports must match the VPIs andVCIs on the CPE.• On the WAN ports, the CE150 will support as many as976 VCs.
