,08;&RQILJXUDWLRQ,VVXHVFor setting up IMUX bundles and placing ports in bundles, theCE150 offers a number of features to help identify and isolateconfiguration and/or wiring errors. Two types of warnings maybe received:• Error messages—These messages provide an immediateindication that some configuration rule has beenviolated. For example, if an operator, using cmBundle, tries to assign a port that has already been configuredwith a netmodel or a filter to a bundle.• TrapEvent and TrapAlarm Tables—These tables indicatean improper step in a procedure. For example, an alarmoccurs when a CPE that is not IMUX-capable trains on abundled DSL port, such that the CE150 cannot changeits status to Active (ready to receive and transmit data).3UREOHPV&RQILJXULQJ0XOWLOLQN%XQGOHVYou will see an error message if you try to place ports in anIMUX bundle incorrectly and the CPE’s ports are alreadytrained. CE150 DSL ports that have already been configured asindividual interfaces, and ports that have mismatched End-PointIDs, will cause the CE150 to generate error messages. Theerror messages related to IMUX configuration are listed below.(For the full configuration procedure for IMUX bundles, seeConfiguring an IMUX Bundle on page 100.)Multilink Bundle Error MessagesMessage Description ActionCPE is not IMUX capableIMUX CPE has EndPointIDinconsistent with existingmembersYou cannot assign a CPE to a bundleunless it has IMUX software in its code. When a CPE trains on a port, theCE150 knows whether it is IMUX capable. You cannot assign a port to a bundlewhen the CPE trained on the port hasan EndPointID that does not match theEndPointID of a port already in the bundle. All ports in a bundle must have thesame EndPointID.Enter the command getallcmEndPointPort to list all End-PointIDs in the CE150, startingwith the first port on the first linecard.Create a new bundle, and theneither switch the mismatched portor attach the correct phone to it.Finally, create other ports for theother phone lines to the bundles.&RSSHU(GJH,QVWDOODWLRQDQG2SHUDWLQJ*XLGH
