6LWH3UHSDUDWLRQBe<strong>for</strong>e installing the CE<strong>150</strong>, read this section thoroughly.(QYLURQPHQWDO&RQGLWLRQVThe only environmental conditions that may restrict use of theCE<strong>150</strong> are temperature, humidity, and altitude:• Temperature: 32° to 122° F (0° to 50° C)• Humidity: 10 to 80%, non-condensing• Altitude: to 10,000 feet5HTXLUHG6HUYLFHVTypically, the Telco will run the service cables to the edge of theCentral Office cage. Then the Telco or another installer will installthe proper patch panels at the edge of the cage.Be<strong>for</strong>e you install the CE<strong>150</strong>, ensure that the following servicesare, or will be, in place.• Telco connection• DS3 ATM/Frame Relay service• DS1 service• LAN access• A telephone line <strong>for</strong> dial-up access• A regulated source of -48 VDC or 120 VAC Mains power5HTXLUHG(TXLSPHQWSystem HardwareThe following hardware items are the minimum required <strong>for</strong> afull-function DSL access link. This minimum configuration willsupport 1 to 24 DSL ports.• One CE<strong>150</strong> chassis• One System Control Module/WAN Module with a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet WAN connection• One 24-port DSL module: SDSL or ADSL (G.Lite orG.dmt), or one 12-port T1 moduleThe CE<strong>150</strong> chassis can accommodate up to two DSLmodules (SDSL ADSL, or T1 in any combination).• One Buffer Control Module• One Power Module. For NEBS compliance, you must andone blank panel or filler panel• One Fan Tray Assembly&RSSHU(GJH,QVWDOODWLRQDQG2SHUDWLQJ*XLGH
