If you restart a computer with one of itsserial ports connected to the Diagnostic port, the CE may reset.Analog Modem PortUsing a standard telephone cord (RJ11 connectors), connectthe modem port on the CE150 System Control Module to a dialupphone line. The port uses 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no paritybit. The modem is set to automatically answer on the second ring. However, it will take longer to answer when it is trying to reconnectafter a disconnection—it cannot answer on the second ringbecause it is still busy disconnecting from the previous session. If the modem connection is dropped and the operator did notlog out of the Craft session, the Craft session is terminatedwithin 15 minutes. The session is immediately available, withoutrequiring a password, to the next person who dials in duringthe 15 minute period. This is a security risk; make sure alloperators are aware that they need to properly log out of theCraft session.Unlike the SCM-1 and SCM-2 boards, you can concurrently usethe Craft and Modem ports on the SCM-3 board.&RSSHU(GJH,QVWDOODWLRQDQG2SHUDWLQJ*XLGH
