SAP software developed enhancement V02V0004 for the staging area at the item level. It contains function module EXIT_SAPLV02V_004 with include ZXTBFU02. You can store your own determination of the staging area in the include. Enhancement V02V0003 (see Section 7.2.1) determines the staging area at the header level. I have decided on determination by ship-to party for the door and staging area, so I enter “Gate 1” and “StgingArea 1” (see Figure 7.11) in Customizing for my customer. Figure 7.11 Door and Staging Area by Ship-to Party I can now create the sales order and enter the delivery manually. The delivery document now shows the door and staging area according to the determination rule in the Loading tab (see Figure 7.12). In WM, you set how the staging area and the doors are embedded in the warehouse process, whether they appear in the transport order or on the RF terminals (handhelds) of forklift drivers, and how these organizational units are assigned to your employees. Overdeliveries and Underdeliveries 7.3 Figure 7.12 Door and Staging Area in the Delivery Document 7.2.3 Loading Points You can use doors and staging areas in the SAP system only if you use WM or lean WM. If you do not have access to either system, but still want to assign your deliveries to individual doors, you can use loading points in the delivery document. See Section 2.1.6 for the definition of a loading point. The loading point must be defined manually in the delivery document. Of course, you also have the option to use a user exit at the creation of the delivery document to determine the loading point with your own table. You enter the loading point itself on the Loading tab in the delivery document (see Figure 7.12). You now know how you can affect the flow of goods in the warehouse in the context of shipping — especially in terms of picking and staging materials. If you do not want to use this functionality, leave the fields in the delivery document blank. They will not affect the overall process. 7.3 Overdeliveries and Underdeliveries As a rule, your company always makes every effort to pick and deliver the correct quantities that customers order. Differences might nevertheless occur in specific cases, resulting in overdeliveries or underdeliveries. Differences (deviations) require coordination with the customer. Will they be accepted?
