In the Shipping tab, you enter the data that you need to create shipments to this
customer or ship-to party. The Delivery priority determines if this customer is to
be given preferential treatment. The Order combination checkbox allows you to
specify if individual sales orders can be combined to full shipments. If you want to
specify preferred delivery from a specific plant, you can enter a Delivering Plant.
You can use the Partial deliveries fields to indicate if and how many partial deliveries
can be made and if over- and underdeliveries are allowed.
The sales area data also contains the Partner functions tab. As mentioned earlier
in this chapter, this is where you enter all possible partner functions and the customer
numbers that you assign to this customer (see Figure 3.8 for an example).
3.2.3 Additional Data
Data that cannot be easily classified in the general data, company data, and sales
area data views, is maintained as Additional data in the SAP system. You can access
the additional data by clicking on Extras in the top menu bar and expanding the
menu tree. You can choose among the following options: Administrative Data,
Blocking Data, Deletion Flags, Confirmation of Change, Classification, Texts, Documents,
Additional Data, Customer Partner Functions, Account Group Info, and
Sales Areas. Texts are also relevant for the shipping and transportation process.
