In process control, “1” (individual shipment using one mode of transport) was
entered as well. In this case, the individual shipment is a direct leg (Leg indicator
is “4”).

In some cases, for example, for shipment types, the shipment type is not shown even
if the field including all its valid values is expanded. You only see the description. To
avoid this problem, you must set the 4 places shipment type as a prefix to the respective
name “0001 Individual Shipment” as shown in Figure 12.5. Another option to display
additional IDs is to check the Show key in all dropdown lists checkbox via the icon,
the Options path, and the Experts tab. There are usually identical names for different
shipment types. In that case, you hardly ever find the correct shipment type.
Another frequently used variant is the collective shipment. Collective shipments
have one or more points of departure and one or more points of destination. If
several points of destination are involved, the shipment document includes several
delivery documents and different ship-to parties. In case of several points of
departure, for example, loading will be performed at different shipping points.
Usually, one forwarding agent is involved.
