verify whether your order can be carried out for a specific mode of transport and
for the corresponding countries (departure, transit, and destination countries) in
accordance with dangerous goods provisions. You must store checking rules for
this purpose. These checking rules are irrespective of whether it is a sales and distribution,
delivery, or shipment document.
9.2.1 Activating the Dangerous Goods Check
You need to perform some steps to activate the dangerous goods check with its
rules. In the first step, you must activate the dangerous goods check generally.

Here (see Figure 9.4), you simply set which function module (FM for activation
check) is called and chosen to implement the dangerous goods check. Enter the
standard SAP component here or program your own function module and enter
it. Activate the check in the Checks active checkbox. If you want all of the items
in the delivery document to be transferred to the dangerous goods check, leave
the Dls rel. for checks checkbox blank. Set this checkbox only if you want the
materials with a dangerous goods indicator profile to be checked (see Section 9.3).
You maintain this profile in the DG indicator profile field on the Basic data 2
tab (see Figure 9.5). Set the Templ. mat. proc. active checkbox if you want to
perform the dangerous goods check once using a material. This variant will not
be dealt with here.
