5. Proceed as described with the remaining quantities. To do this, select the Pack
material tab again.
6. Generate another empty handling unit, select the remaining quantity of the
first item without changing the partial quantity, and then select the empty handling
unit. Click again.
7. You can easily select several items and partial quantities that you want to pack
in one handling unit. Everything that you specify and select as partial quantities
in the lower half of the screen is packed in the handling unit selected in the
upper half of the screen. When you have packed all of the items, the lower half
of the screen is empty (see Figure 8.16).

8. Save the packing data by clicking .
You can also use the following variants for entering this data — you do not have
to generate an empty handling unit first. You can enter the material number of
your pallet directly in the upper half of the screen, and instead of pressing Enter,
you select the line itself.
Choose this second method if you do not know the material number of the pallet.
In this case, only select the partial quantities and items in the lower half of the
screen and click directly. A pop-up now appears asking you whether the system
should search for the allowed packaging materials. Select Yes. The system now
proposes the possible material numbers, based on the Customizing settings (see
Figure 8.17). Select one of these material numbers and press Enter.
