If, in your process, you have given these delivery types an automatic delivery block because
the free-of-charge delivery must first be checked and released by a specialist, you
cannot create deliveries. If you cannot successfully create the delivery document, check
the delivery block in the schedule line or the order header. The schedule line category is
“CP” (as for a standard order). Also, note the delivery block as shown in Figure 4.23.

4.2 Purchase Orders
Section 4.1 described the basics of shipping goods to customers using a sales order.
However, if you have several plants in your company, some of which are at different
locations, and you must transport goods between the plants, you will need
purchase orders. It is possible that, in addition to your main plant, you own distribution
plants that supply customers with goods regionally. Replenishment deliveries
to these distribution plants are necessary to maintain the regional supply. In
that case, SAP does not use sales orders, but rather stock transport orders.
Purchase orders can be further differentiated based on whether the plants, that
is, the delivering and the receiving plant, belong to the same company (the same
company code) or two different companies. If they belong to different company
codes, the replenishment process must be entered using a normal purchase order.
We can therefore state: Replenishment deliveries to plants within the same company
code are processed using stock transport orders, and replenishment deliveries
to plants in other company codes are processed using normal purchase orders.
