Master Data
Because your stocks are managed by quantity at the storage location level, you
need to specify the storage location from which the materials are to be withdrawn
for a delivery to the customer. For automatic storage location determination, you
need the Storage conditions field (see Figure 3.7).

The meaning and possible content of the fields in the material master will be
explored in more detail when describing the individual shipping and transportation
processes.
3.2 Customer Master Data
The customer master is very important in the processes of the shipping and transportation
system. The data maintained in the customer master is a prerequisite for
all processes to run smoothly. All information that is required for transportation
planning and the planning and processing of shipments or that has been entered
when creating sales orders is stored here.
Similar to the material master data, different levels and views (or tabs) are available
for the customer master, which are described in the following general overview:

This data is valid for all levels. The address, for example, remains the same,
even if multiple sales organizations are assigned to the customer.
