made. In this case it is useful to not enable shipment creation for these delivery
documents. They are not relevant for transport.
Transport relevance depends on three different objects: delivery type, delivery
item type (at least one item type must be relevant for transport), and route. All
three objects must be relevant for transport. If just one object is not relevant,
shipment cannot be created for this delivery document. The transport relevance
is maintained in Customizing. Figure 12.7 shows the transport relevance for each
route. This figure also applies to delivery type and delivery item type.

Check the boxes in the Rel. for transport column if you want to create shipment
documents for the respective route, delivery type, or delivery item type. If
no transport relevance is set, the transport planning status remains empty in the
delivery document. If the box is checked, the transportation planning status is set
to “A” upon creation of the delivery document.
