7 Picking Figure 7.20 Overview of the Parameters to Set for Printing Picking Lists If you want to sort the items on your picking lists by specific criteria and perhaps begin a new page when they change, you can create a Sort profile with the Sort profile/coll. proc. button. You use the Print code button to maintain print programs — those provided by SAP software or those you have developed on your own. A printer code is assigned to each program here. You set the printer code for each warehouse number. You can also maintain your sort profile here for standard SAP programs. You define when the print program should be called — before posting, directly after posting, or manually. Lean WM 7.4 The first parameter depends on the storage type. A storage type generally indicates a specific space in the warehouse. It is easy to imagine that a printer is also located there and used to print transfer orders for this storage type. You use the Warehouse movement button to assign a printer to a destination storage type and an original storage type. As an example, I have assigned a warehouse movement (a transfer order) to my local printer; the warehouse movement goes from refrigeration shelf 1 (storage type KR1) to goods issue (storage type 916). See Figure 7.21. Figure 7.21 Control of a Specific Printer, Depending on a Specific Warehouse Movement You can also omit a storage type here. For example, if you omit the destination storage type 916, all of the transfer orders taken from refrigeration shelf 1 are printed — regardless of the destination of the goods. Use the Picking area button to assign a specific printer to a picking area. Use the Storage type button to assign a printer by storage type. Now that the printers are assigned, only a definition of which printing should occur is missing. You make this assignment depending on the movement type (see Figure 7.22). Figure 7.22 assigns print code “02” to movement type “601” (movement type for a planned goods issue). Type “02” indicates standard SAP collective printing for transfer orders.
