INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC ACADEMY 7th JOINT - IOA

BOA’s aim is to promote the Olympic Movement in accordance
with the rules of the Olympic Charter – in short it aims to build a
better world by practicing sport and promoting understanding and
friendship. If one looks closely at these aims it is easy to notice the
distant ideas of Robert Dover, of Joseph Strutt and of course of
William Penny Brookes. It seems that the modern Olympic Movement
is much indebted to the achievements of these people.
