three years. In 1932 she was arrested again, and on July 29 was sentenced to<br />

three years’ exile and sent to <strong>the</strong> north. In 1935 she was living in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong><br />

Barsuki, and working as a watchman in <strong>the</strong> church. In 1936 she was released<br />

from camp and returned to Barsuki. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested<br />

for being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong><br />

churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was<br />

sentenced to death. On October 14 she was shot.<br />

Nun Maria (Afanasyevna Voronina) was born in 1900 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong><br />

Kolygino, Nikolsky uyezd, Vologda province into a peasant family. She was a<br />

nun <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Pokrov monastery in Kotelnich region. After its closure she lived in<br />

<strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Khlynovo, serving as sexton in <strong>the</strong> local church. In 1931 she was<br />

arrested, and on September 10 was sentenced to three years in <strong>the</strong> camps and<br />

sent to a camp. In 1934, after her release, she lived in Vyatka. In <strong>the</strong> summer<br />

<strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested for being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary<br />

organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on<br />

September 29 was sentenced to ten years in <strong>the</strong> camps and sent to a camp.<br />

Nothing more is known about her.<br />

Ivan Vasilyevich Shikhov was born in 1885 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Vidykiny,<br />

Orichevo uyezd, Vyatka province, where he lived as a free peasant. In <strong>the</strong><br />

summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 he was arrested for being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counterrevolutionary<br />

organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”,<br />

and on September 29 was sentenced to death. He was shot on October 14.<br />

Nicholas Fyodorovich Sadyrin was born in 1900 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Gusi,<br />

Shabalin uyezd into a peasant family. He worked in Vyatka in a garage. In <strong>the</strong><br />

summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 he was arrested for being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counterrevolutionary<br />

organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”,<br />

and on September 29 was sentenced to death. He was shot on October 14.<br />

Ivan Fomich Glukhikh was born in 1913 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Starikovo,<br />

Vokhomsk uyezd, Vologda province into a peasant family. He lived in<br />

Vyatka, and worked in a garage. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 he was arrested for<br />

being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong><br />

churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was<br />

sentenced to ten years in <strong>the</strong> camps and sent to a camp. Nothing more is<br />

known about him.<br />

Theodore Nikitich Plenkov was born in 1891 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Plenkovy,<br />

Orichevo uyezd, Vyatka province into a peasant family. He was a free<br />

peasant. In 1934 he was arrested, but on July 22 <strong>the</strong> case was shelved for lack<br />

<strong>of</strong> evidence and he was released. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 he was arrested for<br />

being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong><br />

churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was<br />

sentenced to death. On October 14 he was shot.<br />
