to live in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Monastyrschina, Orichevo region, working as a reader<br />

in <strong>the</strong> church. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested for being “a participant<br />

in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong> True<br />

<strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was sentenced to ten years in <strong>the</strong><br />

camps and sent to a camp. Nothing more is known about her.<br />

Ca<strong>the</strong>rine Ivanovna Gryazeva was born in 1890 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Shirkino,<br />

Lebyazh uyezd, Vyatka province into a peasant family. She lived in Urzhum,<br />

doing housework. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested for being “a<br />

participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong><br />

True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was sentenced to ten years in<br />

<strong>the</strong> camps and sent to a camp. Nothing more is known about her.<br />

Antonina Leontyevna Petrova was born in 1894 in Vyatka into a peasant<br />

family. A free peasant, she was arrested in 1930, and on February 3 was<br />

sentenced to three years’ exile and sent to <strong>the</strong> north. In 1933 she was released<br />

and returned to Vyatka. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested for being “a<br />

participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, ‘<strong>the</strong><br />

True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was sentenced to death. On<br />

October 14 she was shot.<br />

Apollinaria Nikitichna Vylegzhanina was born in 1912 in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong><br />

Krutsy, Orichevo uyezd, Vyatka province into a peasant family, and lived in<br />

Vyatka without working. In <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 1937 she was arrested for being “a<br />

participant in <strong>the</strong> counter-revolutionary organization <strong>of</strong> churchpeople, <strong>the</strong><br />

‘True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church’”, and on September 29 was sentenced to ten years in<br />

<strong>the</strong> camps and sent to a camp. In 1947 she was released and settled in<br />

Sovietskoye, working in a veterinary clinic. In 1949 she was arrested, and on<br />

February 23 was sentenced to termless exile and sent to Krasnoyarsk district.<br />

Nothing more is known about her.<br />

Priest Alexander Ivanovich Tumbasov was born in 1902 in Yaransk,<br />

Vyatka province. In 1922 he finished at a two-class school in Yaransk. He<br />

served in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Tabashino, Orshansk region. On February 1, 1931 he<br />

was arrested in a group case, and on December 14 he was sentenced to three<br />

years in <strong>the</strong> camps and sent to Siblag. In May, 1933 he was arrested for being<br />

“a participant in a counter-revolutionary church-monarchist group <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

True <strong>Orthodox</strong> Church”, and on January 28, 1934 was transferred to a<br />

punishment isolation cell for two years. In 1942, after his release, he settled<br />

illegally in <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Turunovo near Yoshkar-Ola. On August 31, 1945 he<br />

was arrested for being “a participant in <strong>the</strong> anti-Soviet underground <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
