When we look only at how the wage earners' opinions have changed over the
three-year period, rather large differences can be observed between Estonia,
Latvia and Lithuania. In Estonia, there has clearly been a greater increase in
the proportion of positive trend expectations during the three years than in the
other two nations: the attitude towards all the aspects under evaluation has
been more favourable than before. The situation in Lithuania has been the opposite:
with the exception of gender equality, all the assessments in 2002 were
more negative than three years earlier. Latvia comes in between these two
countries.

1998 AND 2002 BY COUNTRIES
ESTONIA
The Estonian evaluations of working life trends are clearly more favourable
now in comparison with 1998. It is interesting to note that at both times, the
same aspects are weighted positively and negatively; and, despite the change,
the ranking order of the aspects assessed has remained the same.
