In the oldest age group, there is more emphasis on negative changes than three
years back. The trends in self-development opportunities, empowerment,
management methods and meaningfulness of working have been viewed more
negatively than earlier.
LATVIAN NATIONALS AND OTHERS
Those who are Latvian by nationality take a considerably more favourable attitude
toward working life trends than do the rest. Over the three-year period
the gap has widened somewhat, since the Latvian nationals' assessments are
now a little more positive than before, whereas the views of the other nationalities
have become more negative.

With the exception of empowerment and management methods, the trend
evaluations made by the Latvian nationals are a little more positive than earlier.
The greatest change can be seen in the case of equality between men and
women. Still, however, it is clear that the change in equality has less often
been assessed favourably than have the other aspects. The conceptions of other
nationalities than Latvian regarding working life trends have turned in a negative
direction during the three years. This applies particularly to opportunities
for self-development.
