In the future, people in business will be much more flexible in the way they communicate and collaborate, and lifelong learning will be an accepted reality. The internet, instant messaging and email have already revolutionised how we search for and exchange information. Things are likely to change even more radically in the next five years. The East of England is a great place to be because it’s close to London, yet lower in cost and with excellent international links. To keep the best students coming, the region needs to maintain its excellent range of degrees, and cater for new and innovative areas of study.
