The thermodynamic average is obtained either within the Multiple Histogram Method or by direct averaging over time
(see Refs. 1,2,3).
Our results T Curie,N and T melt,N (presented in Fig. 1) indicare that both T Curie,N and T melt,N of the Ni N clusters
are found to exhibit similar variation with the cluster size. Namely, they are both lower than their corresponding bulk
values and increase as the cluster size increases. This similarity is justified using model calculations within the mean
field theory applied separately to the surface and core regions and is quantified as a linear relationship between T Curie,N
and T melt,N for the range of cluster sizes studied. The results obtained are in good agreement with the recent
experimental findings.
