Subcontractor. Firm or other entity awarded work by a Contractor on a particular construction project.
Subcontractor as used herein shall apply to all tiers of Subcontractors, as well as vendors and service
providers performing work for the benefit of the Contractor. For the purposes of the Safety Standards,
vendors, suppliers, and service providers on the project for the furtherance of the project are covered by this
definition and are subject to the provisions of the Safety Standards even though they may not be enrolled in
the OCIP.
