The Work performed under this Agreement has been reviewed and found to be substantially
complete and all items required to be submitted by CONTRACTOR under the Contract Documents
have been received and accepted. The Date of Substantial Completion of the Project or portion
thereof designated above is hereby established as _____________________________
which is also the date of commencement of applicable warranties required by the Contract
Documents, except as stated below.

DEFINITION OF DATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION
The Date of Substantial Completion of the Work or portion thereof designated by CPM and
CA is the date certified by CPM when all conditions and requirements of permits and
regulatory agencies have been satisfied and the Work, is sufficiently complete in
accordance with the Contract Documents, so the Project is available for beneficial
occupancy by COUNTY. A Certificate of Occupancy (or a Temporary Certificate of
Occupancy (TCO) or other alternate municipal/county authorization for limited or conditional
occupancy acceptable to the Contract Administrator) must be issued for Substantial
Completion to be achieved, however, the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy or the date
thereof are not to be determinative of the achievement or date of Substantial Completion.
