SECTION 26 05 33 - RACEWAYS AND BOXES FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Metal conduits, tubing, and fittings.
2. Nonmetal conduits, tubing, and fittings.
3. Boxes, enclosures, and cabinets.
B. Related Requirements:
1. Section 26 05 43 "Underground Ducts and Raceways for Electrical Systems" for exterior
ductbanks, manholes, and underground utility construction.
1.2 ACTION SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For wireways and fittings, floor boxes, hinged-cover enclosures, and cabinets.
B. Shop Drawings: For the following raceway components. Include plans, elevations, sections,
details, and attachments to other work.
1. Custom enclosures and cabinets.
2. For handholes and boxes for underground wiring, including the following:
a. Duct entry provisions, including locations and duct sizes.
b. Frame and cover design.
c. Grounding details.
d. Dimensioned locations of cable rack inserts, and pulling-in and lifting irons.
e. Joint details.
1.3 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS
A. Coordination Drawings: Conduit routing plans, drawn to scale, on which the following items
are shown and coordinated with each other, using input from installers of items involved:
1. Structural members in paths of conduit groups with common supports.
2. HVAC and plumbing items and
3. Architectural features in paths of conduit groups with common supports.
4. Baggage handling system equipment including but not limited to conveyors, conduits,
and Motor Control Panel in the paths of conduit groups with common supports.
