B. Electronic Time Switches: Electronic, solid-state programmable units with alphanumeric
display; complying with UL 917.
1. Contact Configuration: 12, SPDT, Individually controlled relays.
2. Contact Rating: 20-A ballast load, 120/277-V ac.
3. Program: 8 on-off set points on a 24-hour schedule and an annual holiday schedule that
overrides the weekly operation on holidays.
4. Circuitry: Allow connection of a photoelectric relay as substitute for on-off function of a
program.
5. Astronomic Time: All channels.
6. Battery Backup: For schedules and time clock.
2.2 OUTDOOR PHOTOELECTRIC SWITCHES
A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, or as acceptable to the Authority,
manufacturers offering products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not
limited to, the following:
1. Cooper Industries, Inc.
2. Intermatic, Inc.
3. NSi Industries LLC; TORK Products.
4. Tyco Electronics; ALR Brand.
B. Description: Solid state, with DPST dry contacts rated for 1800 VA, to operate connected load,
complying with UL 773.
1. Listed and labeled as defined in NFPA 70, by a qualified testing agency, and marked for
intended location and application.
2. Light-Level Monitoring Range: 1.5 to 10 fc, with an adjustment for turn-on and turn-off
levels within that range.
3. Time Delay: Thirty-second minimum, to prevent false operation.
4. Lightning Arrester: Air-gap type.
5. Mounting: Twist lock complying with NEMA C136.10, with base.
