Brochures, Fliers, and Catalogs Your brochure embodies the image and position
you hold in the consulting field. They are a serious purchase and require the assistance
and advice of a professional designer. You may need both a graphic designer
as well as a copy writer. Don’t try to do it yourself. It will hurt your image and your
business. Brochures serve as a great leave-behind when you pay a visit to potential
clients. A well-designed brochure gives the appearance of a well-established firm.
Fliers are an inexpensive alternative to a brochure. Discussed in the last chapter,
they are an inexpensive way to inform potential clients about your business. They
can be created to describe your business in general or you can create special fliers
for special occasions, such as introducing a conference presentation or a new product,
or announcing that you published a book. Exhibit 5.4 provides you with a list
