Can It Be Fun?<br />

As a consultant, I have the most fun when I am involved with sales<br />

and marketing. That’s a long way from my declaring to a potential<br />

client fifteen years ago that “I don’t do sales and marketing!” But<br />

why? Why do I have the most fun by marketing?<br />

<strong>Marketing</strong> is a combination of creativity and logic. Up to this point we have<br />

spent a <strong>gr</strong>eat deal of time discussing the logic side, such as how to research your<br />

competition, how to write a marketing plan, how to retain clients, and how to<br />

warm up a sales call. While all of those are critical to successful marketing, it’s really<br />

the creative side that is the most fun. Creativity makes marketing pop and gives<br />

selling a sizzle.<br />

So how do you come up with creative ideas? How do you create that pop and<br />
