Thesis Keith Gale 2013Figure 7.4: Scatter plot graph exploring relationship between supplier(contractor) and variances in project timescalesConclusions from Figure 7.4:Figure 7.4 illustrates use of a scatterplot to explore a relationship between aparticular supplier and variance of project duration. Each supplier was allocated areference number in order to determine if the choice of supplier affected variance oftimescales. This was an attempt to identify if a particular supplier regularlyunderperformed with project duration. It was anticipated that no single supplierwould substantially under perform and the scatterplot confirms this. Projectsgenerally group around the zero value on the X axis with a predominantly verticalplane. Variances appear more widely dispersed with discrete projects but theassumption that timescale variance does not relate to a sole individual supplier isconfirmed for all projects.134
