It was anticipated that variances inproject timescales would not have any correlation with ‘right first time’ (no defects atcompletion). The scatterplot polarises the X axis because value 1 = no defects atcompletion and value 2 = defects at completion. Polarisation of ‘right first time’ isdistinct from the time variances because if such correlation existed then the mix ofgroups 1 and 2 would be indistinct and marginal as with scatterplot Figure 7.3.Figure 7.5 shows a higher number of projects within the framework group as beingcompleted ‘right first time’. The assumption that timescale variance does notcorrelate with ‘right first time’ is confirmed by results shown in Figure 7.5.135
