De juillet à septembre, ils proposent “Enlarge yourpractice”, un projet qui réunit le travail de 25 artistes, sur près de 2300 m 2 , à la Friche laBelle de Mai. “Contemporaine de Jackass, mais aussi des jeux en réseau, du paintball, dutuning et autres fan-fictions qui proliférent sur le net, une nouvelle génération d’artistes, nésautour des années 80, ne cache plus aujourd’hui son goût pour cette culture adolescente,avec ses délires de fans, ses circulations d’images, ses jeux de rôle. The exhibition, entitledEnlarge your practice (running from July-September) offers the public the chance to see aproject which brings together the work of 25 artists in a space of almost 2,300 squaremetres at the Friche la Belle de Mai.“A new generation of artists born in or around the 1980s – contemporaries of Jackass,multi-player games, paintballing, pimping, fanfictions and other crazes found all over theInternet – nowadays no longer hides its liking for this adolescent culture with its deliriousfans, image sharing and role-playing. With its title, presented like a Spam, the exhibitionEnlarge your practice sets out to take us on a tour of these activities which are now makingtheir way onto the contemporary art scene and which have contributed to the enormousbroadening of the landscape of contemporary art.[S]extant et plus est une association qui développe des systèmes de production, de diffusion et depromotion d’œuvres d’art contemporain. Résidente de la Friche la Belle de Mai, à Marseille, elle y présentechaque été le travail d’un ou plusieurs artistes à travers une exposition de trois mois. Après “Airclubbing”d’Alexandre Perigot, “Viewer and Participant”, une exposition monographique de l’artiste franco-américainMichel Auder rassemblant plus d’une quarantaine de pièces vidéos et photographiques, l’année 2006aura été l’occasion de dévoiler un projet inédit de l’artiste suisse Christoph Büchel intitulé “Conquest ofParadise (RDX)”.[S]extant et plus is an association which develops systems for the production, distribution and promotionof contemporary art work.
