HWANGHOLKYONG
I’ll Be Seeing Her: Images of
dallo stile documentaristico ortodosso. I’ll Be
seeing Her, perciò, fonde la maniera fantastica e quella realistica.
The documentary intertwines and freely juxtaposes genres and
scenes from various films to present images of women in South
Korean cinema. By deliberately not employing an orthodox documentary
approach, I’ll Be Seeing Her blends fantastic and
realistic styles.
Kim So-young
“The original Korean title of this documentary, Hwangholkyong,
evokes states of ecstasy, fantasy, and phantasmagoria. It is
an ironic celebration of the excesses of feeling that female spectators
have experienced and attained from the notoriously misogynistic
films of South Korea over the past decades.”
