Biografia<br />
Nato nel 1955, ha studiato arte a Seoul. Dopo un periodo<br />
passato a Parigi, è tornato in Corea per dirigere il suo primo<br />
lungometraggio nel 1988, Chilsu and Mansu. Ha ricevuto<br />
riconoscimenti per i suoi Black Republic, To the Starry<br />
Island, The Uprising, il suo ultimo lungo realizzato nel 1999.<br />

Born in 1955, he studied art in Seoul. After a long period spent<br />
in Paris, he returned to Korea in 1988 to direct his first feature<br />
film, Chilsu and Mansu. He has received awards for his films<br />
Black Republic, To the Starry Island and his last feature, The<br />
Uprising, which was made in 1999.<br />

Un tassista ha dimenticato cosa ha fatto la notte precedente.<br />
Non ricorda nemmeno dove ha lasciato il suo taxi. Una<br />
storia difficile da ricostruire, una realtà che prende la forma<br />
di un incubo. Il tempo <strong>del</strong> racconto si confonde tra passato<br />
e presente, immaginazione e realtà.<br />
A taxi driver forgets what he did the previous night. He does not<br />
even remember where he left his taxi. A difficult story to reconstruct,<br />
a situation that turns into a nightmare. In the story, time<br />
becomes mixed up between the past and the present, imagination<br />
and reality.<br />

Nato nel 1962, realizza per lo più film sperimentali, tra cui<br />
Wet Dreams <strong>del</strong> 1992 che ha vinto il primo premio al<br />
Korean Short Film Festival. Tra i suoi lavori che hanno partecipato<br />
a manifestazioni nazionali e internazionali si possono<br />
citare Slapdash/Concoction, Dowsing, Video Ritual.<br />
