To specify the interval between successive sync message transmissions from the <strong>Cisco</strong> CMTS, use the<br />

cable sync-interval command in cable interface configuration mode. To return the sync message interval<br />

to its default value, use the no form of this command.<br />

<strong>Command</strong> Modes Interface configuration (cable interface only)<br />

<strong>Command</strong> History<br />

msec Specifies the interval in milliseconds (ms) between successive sync<br />

message transmissions from the <strong>Cisco</strong> CMTS. Valid values are from<br />

1 to 200 ms. Default value is 10 ms.<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>lines To verify whether or not a sync message interval has been configured, enter the show running-config<br />

command and look for the cable interface configuration information. If a sync message interval has been<br />

configured, it appears in this output. If the sync message interval has been deactivated or reset to its<br />

default value, no sync interval command line appears in the output.<br />

Examples The following example shows how to specify the interval for the sync message transmissions to 100 ms:<br />

Router (config-if)# cable sync-interval 100<br />
