To remove one or more CMs from the internal address and routing tables, use the clear cable modem<br />

delete command in privileged EXEC mode.<br />

clear cable modem {mac-addr | ip-addr | cable slot/port {all | oui string | reject} } delete<br />

clear cable modem {mac-addr | ip-addr | cable slot/subslot/port {all | oui string | reject} } delete<br />

mac-addr Specifies the 48-bit hardware address (MAC address) of an individual<br />

CM.<br />

ip-addr Specifies the IP address of an individual CM.<br />

cable slot/port Identifies the a interface and downstream port on the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7100<br />

series and <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7200 series routers.<br />

On the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7100 series router, the only valid value is 1/0. On the<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7200 series router, slot can range from 3 to 6, and port can<br />

be 0 or 1, depending on the cable interface.<br />

cable slot/subslot/port Identifies a cable interface on the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR10012 router. The<br />

following are the valid values:<br />

slot = 5 to 8<br />

subslot = 0 or 1<br />

port = 0 to 4 (depending on the cable interface)<br />

all Deletes all the CMs from the Station Maintenance List.<br />

oui string Deletes all CMs that match the specified Organization Unique<br />

Identifier (OUI). The string parameter can be either the three byte<br />

hexadecimal string (such as 00.00.0C) or a vendor name that has been<br />

defined using the cable modem vendor command.<br />

reject Deletes all CMs that are currently in one of the reject states (see the<br />

description of these states in the show cable modem command).<br />

12.2(11)BC3 This command was introduced for the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7100 series,<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> uBR7200 series, and <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR10012 universal broadband routers.<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>lines This command instructs the <strong>Cisco</strong> CMTS to stop sending DOCSIS station maintenance messages to one<br />

or more CMs, which effectively terminates the link to those CMs. To remove one or more CMs from the<br />

router’s internal tables and to instruct them to reset, use the clear cable modem reset command.<br />
