To reset the <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote state machine and bring down the <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote<br />

connection on all interfaces or on a given interface (tunnel), use the clear crypto ipsec client ezvpn<br />

command in privileged EXEC mode. If a tunnel name is specified, only the specified tunnel is cleared.<br />

clear crypto ipsec client ezvpn [name]<br />

Defaults If no tunnel name is specified, all active tunnels on the machine are cleared.<br />

<strong>Command</strong> History<br />

name (Optional) Identifies the IPSec VPN tunnel that is to be disconnected or<br />

cleared with a unique, arbitrary name. If no name is specified, then all<br />

existing tunnels are disconnected or cleared.<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> 828 routers; <strong>Cisco</strong> 1700 series routers; and <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR905 and<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> uBR925 cable access routers.<br />

12.2(8)YJ The name option was added to to specify a particular IPSec VPN tunnel to<br />

be cleared or disconnected.<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>lines The clear crypto ipsec client ezvpn command resets the <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote state machine,<br />

bringing down the current <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote connection and bringing it back up on the interface.<br />

If you specify a tunnel name, then only that tunnel is cleared. If no tunnel name is specified, all active<br />

tunnels on the machine are cleared.<br />

If the <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote connection for a particular interface is configured for autoconnect, this<br />

command also initiates a new <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote connection.<br />

Examples The following example shows the <strong>Cisco</strong> Easy VPN Remote state machine being reset:<br />
