To configure the <strong>Cisco</strong> CMTS so that a <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR-RFSW N+1 RF Switch, Quintech RF switch, or<br />

Wavecom upconverter becomes part of the specified HCCP member in a particular HCCP group, use the<br />

hccp channel-switch command in cable interface configuration mode. To remove the configuration for<br />

the RF switch or upconverter, use the no form of this command.<br />

hccp group channel-switch member-id switch-name rfswitch-group rfswitch-ip-address<br />

module-bitmap position<br />

hccp group channel-switch member-id switch-name rfswitch-module rfswitch-ip-address<br />

module-number position<br />

Syntax Description group The group number for the specified interface. The valid range is 1 to 255.<br />

member-id The member number within the specified group. The valid range is 1 to 255.<br />

switch-name Specifies the name of the switchover group that has been configured on the<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> RF Switch using the set switchover-group command.<br />

rfswitch-group Specifies that this is the configuration for an <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR-RFSW N+1 RF<br />

Switch group.<br />

rfswitch-module Specifies that this is the configuration for an <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR-RFSW N+1 RF<br />

Switch module.<br />

rfswitch-ip-address Specifies the IP address of the RF switch to which the CMTS is connected.<br />

module-bitmap Specifies the module-bitmap in hexadecimal. The valid range is 0 to<br />

FFFFFFFF.<br />

for a worksheet that can be used to calculate the bitmap.<br />

module-number Specifies the module number on the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR-RFSW N+1 RF Switch. The<br />

valid range is 1 to 255.<br />

position Specifies the position for the Working channel on the <strong>Cisco</strong> uBR-RFSW<br />

N+1 RF Switch. The valid range is 1 to 8.<br />

tty-switch Specifies the configuration of a Quintech RF switch that is controlled by its<br />

TTY line. You can further specify the type of port being used to control the<br />

switch. By default, one of the switch’s serial ports is used, or you can use<br />

the aux, console, or vty lines.<br />

Note Ensure that the switch’s DIP switch is set to 00.<br />

aux (Optional) Specifies that the auxiliary port is being used to control the<br />

Quintech RF switch.<br />

console (Optional) Specifies that the console port is being used to control the<br />

Quintech RF switch.<br />
